What to expect/Our Core values

What To Expect: In order to promote the welcoming and loving atmosphere that we want our church to have, we hope the items below are helpful.
It is every church’s desire to be seen as a “friendly” church for our visitors and guests.  We certainly care about first impressions.  But more importantly, we believe that what truly makes a local church represent Christ and fulfill His call to discipleship is to be a one-another community full of FRIENDSHIPS.  This takes time, transparency, trust, patience, and lots of understanding and forgiveness.  We are journeying together as a church family to genuinely live the love that Christ climaxing at His death, burial, and resurrection has shown us to one another and everyone who blesses us with a visit.  While we will never be perfect in this, our continual target is to be a gathering of imperfect disciples who are continually repenting together that Christ may be seen as He truly is.
At Cornerstone Community Church, we are all about you being you. We want an atmosphere that is relaxed and comfortable. Jeans and T-shirts are welcome, as are suits and ties. It is our desire that you come as you are.
While we sing mostly new and contemporary songs, we also appreciate faithful hymns from the past. We believe that God desires worship in Spirit and in Truth, therefore, we hope that everyone is free to worship as they feel led. For example, some hold up hands and some do not.  Some clap and some do not.  We try to not force people into a “culture” of worship.  The Word of God and one another are the focus.
Children’s Church
If you choose, we have an optional Children’s church ministry during the regular worship gathering.  We care deeply about our/your children and their physical safety and spiritual/emotional health are priorities to us.  If you arrive with a child 5th grade and under, you are welcome to introduce them to our children’s church leaders, Don Mason or Paul Tennefoss.  Go straight down the hallway from the entrance to the Fellowship Hall.
Child Care
We provide a nursery/child care for infants through 4 years old for regular gatherings.  We usually do for all other activities as needed.  Please see Heather Ernsberger or one of our greeters upon entering the building. Preaching It is the goal of every sermon to be preached with biblical truth relevant to today’s culture. We believe that all of the Bible is true and applicable for life today. This is the goal of our messages. We desire to deliver authentic, relevant, and inspiring messages from scripture week in and week out with the goal of leading you to a life changing experience.
